West Country Weddings is an intimate, secluded, family-run seasonal wedding venue nestled on 45 acres of private land in Clearwater County, within Alberta’s protected forest region. Bordering the property, the Clearwater River weaves through the landscape, creating a rugged yet breathtaking natural backdrop for your wedding celebration. Conveniently located just off the highway, we are one hour west of Red Deer and only 25 minutes from both Sundre and Rocky Mountain House, offering the perfect balance of peaceful escape and accessible convenience.
Our Venue Is Different.
It’s private, rustic, and intentionally quiet, but in the best ways possible. It’s a place where guests can wander, gather, and celebrate within the magnificent confines of nature. With over 20 acres of trails and open forest to explore, it's a place where the land itself, becomes part of the experience.

'The Westcountry Haven' is our only wedding experience, and that’s intentional.
By hosting fewer weddings, we give our couples more time, more space, and less pressure, while also protecting the integrity of our land and the environmental impact.
Our wedding venue is for couples who value experience over excess, presence over production, and memories that extend well beyond a single day.

Your West Country Weddings venue rental includes a two-night stay for up to 12 unserviced RV sites, and a reserved camp site exclusively for the bride & groom.Â

Designed for connection and celebration, our stunning forest venue hosts intimate, family-style weddings and receptions for up to 130 guests, blending rustic elegance with the natural beauty of the outdoors.

This is not a one day rental.

From our outdoor ceremony space, to our covered verandas and outdoor bar, to our 'Sip & Stargaze' rivers-edge landing, guests are invited to relax, connect, and experience the kind of wedding that feels both memorable and deeply rooted in it's surroundings.

West Country Weddings is still currently under construction however, due to the overwhelming amount of inquires that we have already received, we have decided to accept a limited number of pre- launch site tours.
